Overview

Pay by Bank or ACH payments allow shoppers to complete purchases directly through their bank accounts. ACH payments enable merchants to reduce payments costs.

Skipify has partnered with Pay by Bank partner(s) to offer this payment method directly within the Skipify experience.

Merchant Activation

Activate your Skipify merchant account by configuring Pay by Bank processing credentials.

Checkout with Pay by Bank

Shoppers begin the Skipify checkout experience as normal. Following shopper lookup and successful shopper authentication, Skipify presents payment methods including any in-network bank accounts.

Manage bank accounts

Shoppers can manage their bank accounts directly within the payment carousel or wallet section.

Link additional bank accounts

Shoppers have the option to link or add other bank accounts.

Payment Submission

Upon order completion, the transaction is settled to the account associated to your Pay by Bank processing credentials.

These transaction types can be identified by the paymentMethodType = bank_account parameter returned in the Skipify webhooks.

Post Authorization Processing

Reach out to your Skipify implementation engineer to learn how to process authorization events (refunds, cancel, etc).
